Nicols Falls

Now that we have Sunday free Reuben, Mia and I are aiming to walk a new part of Dunedin each week. It doesn’t always happen, sometimes life is just too busy, or there are other things happening, but when it does we have so much fun. Today’s new walk was to Nicols Falls, an hour long jaunt by the side of the Leith River, through dense native bush. Muddy and slippery, but rich and lush, it was well worth the confusion over finding the walk entrance at the start. We had a picnic of pikelets and jam, listened to Tui’s, Fantails, and Wood Pigeons, and then spent some time just playing around at the bottom of the Falls. We live in such a beautiful place x
