The school holidays draw to a close, ahead of us is now the 9 week term, and then the Christmas Holidays. I swear something has swallowed this year whole. Having worked over most of the past two weeks today was a respite, a moment with the kids to just play and be outside. We headed to a park and the weather threw every promise of summer ahead at us, from warm breezes to the feel of grass between your toes. Now the curtains are drawn, biscuits are baked for lunch boxes, school bags are packed, and the morning rush starts again tomorrow. I have to admit, I’m kind of looking forward to the end of this year, even if it is still two months off, bring on those warm summer nights!
