top of the world

Today the kids and I went for a huge walk today – 2 and 1/2 hours to get up a hill, 45 minutes to get down it. It’s been really foggy today, everything has looked gray and murky, but we managed to walk above the fog level and look down over it. Just gorgeous – and counting ourselves lucky yet again that we live in such a beautiful place. So this is our today – walking up to the Organ Pipes for a picnic, Reuben & Mia announcing they just wanted to keep going which we did, up the Signal Hill track till we reached Buttars Peak. And it’s at Buttars Peak that you realise it’s true – you are on the top of the world.

About little minx

It's a rainy day and in an attempt to slow down and appreciate the little things I have started a blog

An amazing view of the fog and clouds, almost like looking down from the window of a plane 🙂 Should go on that walk one day, it’s just up the road! Was it a hard walk, very steep?

    • It was quite steep at the beginning – a bit of a shock for me as I’m still rather unfit – but soon became a nice steady slope, and coming down again is a breeze as it’s all down! It’s a nicely maintained, wide track… and well worth the effort to walk!
