Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens

The second week of the Winter School Holidays in Dunedin is marked by the annual Cadbury Chocolate Carnival – a week of fanastic activities, all centred around chocolate, and a lot of them free or rather cheap. In the last two days we have been to visit Larnachs Castle, attended a free Cadbury Magic Show, viewed chocolate portraits, played chocolate ring-toss, and been to visit the beautiful Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens for a Gnaughty Gnome Hunt. The weather has turned out a treat for mid-winter with the most beautiful day today, blue skies and warmth, and the afternoon spent running around Glenfalloch followed by Ice Creams at MacAndrew Bay – leading the children to count their day according to how much chocolate they were given, finished off by Ice Cream, perfection in a childs mind. As much as I love this wintry weather, I couldn’t help but notice a marked enthusiasm to see flowers starting to bud at the gardens.

It's a rainy day and in an attempt to slow down and appreciate the little things I have started a blog
