Like Perfection

Today has been spent as Sundays should – ignoring all those things that perhaps should be done, and doing things just because we felt like it. Life as a family gets pretty busy, and Sunday is no exception with having things on the timetable. The weather has been beautiful and warm, something that is  apparently changing dramatically tonight, so we squeezed in an hour or so at Long Beach wandering the length and clambering over the rocks. Then Reuben and Simon headed into town for Reuben’s Karate lesson, leaving Mia and I with some  precious time together. We decided to go for a wander up to the Lookout over Port Chalmers and watch the ships loading on the Docks, which then lead her to ask “where shall we go next on our adventure Mum?”. Where indeed – an hour or so of adventures, a Crayfish sighting, lots of chattering, and a lovely hand in hand meander through various tracks, just that wee bit like perfection really.
