And then there were Three

The weekend that has just passed the Otago SPCA hosted a free cats and kittens weekend to try and make some room for the cats arriving in Dunedin from Christchurch. We headed down to “have a look”, and funnily enough now have a new family member. As yet to be named, this little lady is currently being called Poppy Lola, and is 3 months old. The kids are loving having a kitten, though we keep trying to explain to Mia that kittens do three things which is eat, play, sleep, and that’s it. Reuben spent most of Sunday inside just so he could play with her. We had planned to eventually get another cat in the hope that it would take to Mia, she loves cats so much, but most cats are not too keen on 4 year olds. You can probably imagine, Oscar is not impressed.

shes a gorgeous little thing 🙂

She is beautiful – what do the other cats think!! Our cats are so old and set in their ways that they wouldn’t be too welcoming, as much as my girls would love a kitten!

The older cat wasn’t too impressed, but he’s fairly laid back so seems to cope. Having said that we got a kitten to avoid any jealousy between Oscar and an older cat. All is going well, and the kitten has already established her dominance over the dog 🙂 x

She looks very at home already!

  5. She looks luvly! Nothing like having a fluffy 4~legged friend around the place to keep U company 🙂

  6. Joanna says:

agreed – and she’s a dear so we are very lucky x

We have three cats, and love to see them as a little family. They often move as a pack around the house. Enjoy!
