Yesterday was spent at Ross and Barbara’s house in Purakanui, they have the most beautiful property, rolling green meadows with birch trees, and lots and lots of gardens. They built the house themselves some 30 years ago, it’s the most lovely scandinavian looking two-story building in russet red. It is in my previous post about the winter solistice that Ross has started to give each year. They share the house openly and with love, and with this sentiment invited family members who were keen to use some of their land to plant a potato crop. So, while Simon weeded and mounded potatoes and Mia ran back and forth intermittently reading books and putting baby dolls into a swing, I wandered around with my camera.

About little minx

It's a rainy day and in an attempt to slow down and appreciate the little things I have started a blog

you really have a gift for photography Joanna, what lovely restful photo’s. Love that peep of the water from the window, in my dreams my ideal weekend cottage would have a little view like that with a window seat below 🙂
