Things have seemed a bit quiet in the last week. With the cancellation of The Night Market, due to on-going and fairly serious earthquake tremors in Christchurch, I find myself without the expected motivation of working towards a pre-Christmas market. So, there are quite a few things cut out that are just sitting there, staring at me, waiting for me to get them to my Felt shop for Christmas orders. All my lovely bloggy/crafty friends are crazy busy getting ready for the many markets they have ahead, and I sit here feeling envious and staring at the wall. Dunedin clearly needs a proper craft market.

This morning I woke up to the most beautiful morning, a faint mist was sitting across the harbour, all the doors and windows were opened first thing to a clear, warm, and windless spring day, the light is just gorgeous, and both kids are sick and staying home so no running around to deadlines. The sort of morning that just makes you smile. I hope your Wednesday is just as warming.

Sounds like a lovely day! I look forward to snow days like that here in the winter, but not too many as we have to make them up when the weather is nice in June.
Sorry to hear your market was canceled. When you do start creating, I hope you’ll share more pictures the goodies you’ve made. I love to see the wonderful things you make.

  3. Did you have any thoughts about having a stall at The Craft Christmas Market in Christchurch on 4/18 December? Think they are still open for applications: thecraftcollective@gmail.com

Thanks Julia – I did wonder about that one, it looked good and well priced stalls. Have you done this one before?

  5. WHAT “AWESOME” PHOTO’S – especially the first one!!!!

  6. Hi Joanna, no I havent done it before but it’s certainly worth a try! I think its such a lovely venue it has to be great fun to do. Poplar Lane is one of my fav places in Christchurch.

I think Dunedin is in need of a craft market. Why don’t you start one?

    • Joanna says:

That’s exactly what I have been thinking, having experienced other incredible “specialist” craft markets like A Craft Affair in Chch, it’s very inspiring. Are there enough serious crafters in Dunedin? I’m sure there are…
