Back into the car, this time our new experience was to include what is affectionately known in our house as “the big tent”. Three days, two nights, time spent a short distance from home down South in the sleepy beach-side town of Taieri Mouth, the point where the Taieri River meets the Pacific Ocean. A beautiful spot – we walked, swam, enjoyed the huge variety of birdlife that live on the beach, put the boogie boards to good use, read, drew, ate, and walked again. It shall indeed be hard to return to everyday routines next week!
