I bought a tent. Just a little tent, to sleep 4 people and nothing more, but I love it. It’s to get away with, to just throw in the car, so we can just pack up quickly and leave. It’s all a part of my Resolutions for the New Year – experiences, not things. So this is what we did, the kids and I, we threw the tent into the back of the car and stopped when we hit Moeraki. We explored forests, walked, read, giggled, played games, ate too much, spent hours on the beach playing and building TeePee’s, and generally just took time to slow down and be together. After two nights there Simon messaged us to ask if we would like to stay one more night, the answer was a resounding yes, and he joined us. Such a lovely lovely time – we feel like we have truly holidayed, which was much needed indeed.

This looks like such a lovely break. Lisa x
